Indie Tavern: Round 2

August 23, 2018

Hello Turtles, this post is late, very late and I’m going to make it straight to the point:

Indie Adventure: July 2018

Income: $413.80

  • $300 Personal Investments
  • $92.66 Archer Sales (birthday sale)
  • $2.32 Interest from Savings
  • $18.82 Viewer Donations
For the purpose of these reports income is defined as the money that has reached my hands, or more technically the adventure bank/paypal accounts.

Expenses: $168.50

  • $5.00 Linode Servers
  • $51.80 Website domain
  • $111.70 Contract for track pieces and blog content.
This is straight forward, the loot I’ve spent hard earned gold on during the month.

Sales / Sources:

  • $84.50 for 2 sales of Archer
  • $46.87 from super supportive Twitch viewers
Important note here, Sales/Sources contains money that may, or may not, have reached the accounts via income. The actual values may be inflated from what actually gets pulled in, say from distribution platforms taking a cut, cuts for transferring money.

Tracked Hours:

  • 130.5 hours

Adventure Totals:

  $1725.47
+ $245.30 ($413.80 - $168.50)
= $1970.77
Note: There is a discrepancy from June end to July start; likely caused by some things I had to change/adjust for in my accounting sheets. This should be the last and only time this adjustment occurs.

Future Quest:

During the month of August, now nearly over, I am looking deeper into starting a company, and continuing development of a rocket boosted combat racer with big air, deciding where it is going and getting lap timing in to the game.

Fletcher and I will be streaming Indie Tavern: Round 3 on September 2nd, 9am to 10am ET. Go to the link to setup a reminder!

Indie Tavern: Round 1

July 10, 2018

In an attempt to be completely transparent with my Indie Adventure I will post information about the quest each month. This will also be discussed with Fletcher from Noctem Studios on the first Sunday of every month on the Indie Tavern livestream. As a low-level adventurer, I suspect Read the rest of this entry »

mDevelopmentLog[23] = Goals and Inspiration

March 30, 2018

Hello Turtles,

I’m going to try bringing back the blog as I update the development log each week. This is a bit behind schedule, but I’ll try to get back on track. Still doing Early Morning Development, every morning – every day and things have been moving forward. Stay tuned for better updates in near future.

Until then, have a good one!

Archer was Released

March 13, 2018
Archer Gameplay

Gameplay from the Archer game, created in 7 weeks.

I’ve finally released the first game that I created. Not only that but some super kind patrons have actually bought the game to support me. In case you were unaware, Archer was created in 7 weeks at the start of 2018 and I had streamed the entire thing on twitch.tv/timbeaudet.

Basic Math and Physics

August 23, 2017

It has always been my aim to provide as much of a log about creating a racing simulation as I can, including the mathematics of the simulation and other details. I’ve just setup something on the blog to allow. So here we will start be some of the extremely basic math/physics that an average high-schooler would understand. Read the rest of this entry »

June 7, 2017

Hello Turtles,

Sara cat and Monky bird changed gears from the normal programming on TurtleBrains stuff into starting to move forward on ZoomCarWorld3. Initially some basic art practice in blender working on a small homemade go-kart before deciding the ZCW3 would start out as Read the rest of this entry »
